Currently, holdings on Romance Studies are still spread across two locations. In addition to the textbook collection on the ground floor and the collections on Romance Studies shelved on the 1st floor of the Central Library, there is also the so-called “Magazin Geisteswissenschaften”. These holdings have to be requested to the Central Library in advance and afterwards can mostly be borrowed on normal conditions, just like the Central Library’s holdings.

The holdings are arranged according to a classification system.

Electronically available journals of the subject can be found in the Electronic Journals Library (EZB). When searching from off-campus, please ensure your VPN is activated.

When searching subject databases, you are searching in an environment that is more tailored to your subject interests than the library catalogue. Consult our Database Information System (DBIS) to find out which subject databases are available. Please activate your VPN first before searching from off-campus.

Are you about to write your first term paper and need help on how to search for, select and process literature? Then you should work through the ILIAS learning module on information and research skills in Romance Studies. It provides guidance on all steps of academic work, from dealing with your topic to the actual writing.
