Authors and anonymous works in the subject classification system

Important authors of individual fields of knowledge have their own classification number within the subject classifications, which covers both the primary and the secondary literature. Anonymous works are works without a known author. Important literature published anonymously (e.g. the Nibelungenlied) has its own place within the subject classifications, which covers both the primary and the secondary literature.
